Suryakumar Yadav and Tabraiz Shamsi have made remarkable gains in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, in the latest weekly update, while Sri Lanka players have made notable gains in the Test Player Rankings after winning the second Test against Pakistan in Galle.
Suryakumar has moved up three spots to second place after a dazzling 44-ball knock of 76 against West Indies in the 3rd T20I.
Shamsi, who was top-ranked for most of the period from April to October last year, has advanced one slot to take second position.
Sri Lanka Off-spinner Ramesh Mendis has progressed 19 slots to reach 31st position with nine wickets in the second Test against Pakistan while left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya has advanced 11 slots to reach 33rd position.
Dinesh Chandimal is up two places to 16th among test batters with 101 runs in two innings while Dhananjaya de Silva has moved from 49th to 41st after scoring a century in the second innings.
