The host nations for every major ICC women’s tournaments between 2024-2027 were announced on tuesday (26) by the International Cricket Council.
The final decisions in this regard have been reached at the ICC annual meeting which is currently being held in Birmingham, England.
The International Cricket Council has decided to hold 4 ICC Women’s tournaments in 4 years.
Accordingly, the 2024 ICC Women’s T 20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh.
The tournament will be held between September-October, and comprise 10 teams playing 23 matches.
The 2025 Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be held in India.
Eight teams will compete in the tournament, making up a total of 31 matches.
The 2026 Women’s T 20 World Cup will be held in England in June.
The number of countries participating in the tournament has been increased from 10 to 12, with a total of 33 matches to be played.
The inaugural edition of the Women’s ICC T 20 Champions Trophy will be hosted by Sri Lanka, subject to them qualifying for the tournament. T
It will be held in February 2027, with six teams competing for the trophy across 16 matches.
