The Sri Lanka Emerging Team suffered a 66-run defeat in a T20 match against Somerset on Friday (27) during the Sri Lanka Emerging Team’s tour of UK.
Sri Lanka Emerging Team won the toss and elected to bat first. Somerset scored 194 for 4 at the end of 20 overs.
George Bartlett scored an unbeaten 82 off just 38 balls. James Rew scored 47 runs and Tom Banton scored 34 runs.
Dunith Wellalage took 2 wickets for 32 runs. Ashen Daniel and Manelkar de Silva took one wicket each.
In reply, the Emerging Team scored only 128 runs for the loss of all wickets at the end of 17.3 overs.
Ashen Bandara scored 38 (36) runs and Nuwanidu Fernando scored 21 runs.
In bowling, Lewis Goldsworthy and Ben Green took 3 wickets each.
