The Lankan young Lions today (20) won the five-match ODI series against the touring Bangladesh youth team with two matches to play.

Sri Lanka won the 3rd One day match by 3 wickets.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

However, the Sri Lankan bowlers managed to restrict the Bangladesh’s Under-19 team to 184 runs in 49.3 overs.

Bangladesh lost eight wickets for 107 runs, However, then No. 9 batsman Ashikur Zaman scored an unbeaten 54 to take them to a respectable total.

Vinuja Ranpul and Ravin de Silva took 3 wickets each while Vanuja Sahan took 2 wickets.

In reply Sri Lanka lost seven wickets for 122 runs, leaving some doubt as to the victory of the match.

However, Shevon Daniel and Vanuja Sahan then put on an unbroken 66-run partnership for the eighth wicket to take Sri Lanka to victory.

Daniel scored 85 not out and Sahan 38 not out.

Sri Lanka reached the target in 46.4 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Mushfique Hasan managed to take 3 wickets for Bangladesh.
