Sri Lanka’s final squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup was announced this afternoon (10).
Lahiru Kumara, Binura Fernando, Pathum Nissanka and Akila Dananjaya have been named in the 15-man squad.
the four players were initially named in Sri Lanka’s reserves who were to travel with the squad as injury cover.
on Sunday, SLC announced their final squad, leaving out Kamindu Mendis, Nuwan Pradeep (Injured), Praveen Jayawickrama, Minod Bhanuka, Ashen Bandara, Lakshan Sandakan, Pulina Tharanga, Lahiru Madushanka (Injured) and Ramesh Mendis from the 23-man squad they had named earlier.
Sri Lanka will play in the first round of the T20 World Cup in Oman and the United Arab Emirates from November 17 to November 14 and their first match will be against Namibia on October 18.
