The draft for the new edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League was held last night (7).
6 Sri Lankan players have been selected by different teams for this year’s tournament.
Accordingly, a total of eight Sri Lankans will be playing for Abu Dhabi T10.
Spinner Maheesh Theekshana was picked by Marata Arabians.
The team added three more Sri Lankan players to their squad as well. They are Dushmantha Chameera, Dhananjaya Lakshan and Chamika Karunaratne.
Upul Tharanga was picked by North Warriors while a young fast bowler, Matheesha Pathirana was picked by Bangla Tigers.
Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Isuru Udana was earlier retained by the Bangla Tigers and Deccan Gladiators had also decided to retain Wanindu Hasaranga.
Players such as Moin Ali (Northern Warriors), Imran Tahir (Northern Warriors), Mohamed Ameer (Bangla Tigers), James Faulkner (Bangla Tigers), Shahid Afridi (Bangla Tigers), Evin Lewis (Deccan Gladiators), Liam Livingston (Team Abu Dhabi), Chris Gayle (Team Abu Dhabi), Colin Ingram (Team Abu Dhabi), Andre Russell (Deccan Gladiators), Yusuf Pathan (Marata Arabians) are also expected to play in the tournament.
This year’s Abu Dhabi T 10 League Tournament will be held from November 19 to December 4.
