England all-rounder Ben Stokes has undergone another operation on Monday 4th October,
the England and Wales Cricket Board announced today (7).
This is the second operation on his left finger due to an injury sustained while playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League in April.
He had two screws and scar tissue removed from the index finger on Monday and will undergo an intensive period of rehabilitation for the next four weeks under the supervision of the ECB’s medical team.
Ben Stokes has not been named in England’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup and there is a risk of him losing the Ashes series this time as well.
