Shakib Al Hasan’s request for paternity leave has been accepted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The Bangladesh all-rounder will now skip the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

A few days ago, Shakib Al Hasan had requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board to consider his application for paternity leave, as he wanted to be with his wife for the birth of his third child.

“We have granted him leave during the New Zealand tour.” BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told cricbuzz.
