The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is delighted to announce that Mr. Jay Shah, Hon. Secretary, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been appointed as the new ACC President at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held earlier today (Saturday, 30 January 2021) via video conference.
Mr. Shah takes over from Mr. Nazmul Hassan who had served as ACC President since 2018. The ACC would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Hassan for his leadership and guidance.
Mr. Shah, at the AGM, reaffirmed his commitment towards the all-round development of the sport in Asia through the use of innovation. He emphasized on the need to focus on target areas such as women’s cricket, age group cricket, sports medicine and science as well as on growth on the digital front.
The ACC along with all its Members look forward to working with Mr. Shah on making this vision a reality.
