The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced two different squads for ODI series against Australia.
Regular captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav have been rested for the first two games.
KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the first two games in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
But India will feature a full strength squad for the third and final ODI.
The three-match ODI series against Australia, which begins on Friday, is India’s last ODI assignment before the World Cup.
