The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is expected to announce Bangladesh’s new ODI captain later this week.
Bangladesh’s Test and T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan is reportedly the first choice, though wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das and allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz are also contenders.
The new captain will be announced after taking the views of Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das, and Mehdi Hasan Miraz regarding the captaincy.
The ODI captaincy remains vacant because Tamim Iqbal resigned on August 3. He has also missed the upcoming Asia Cup due to an injury.
