Ireland Men’s cricket team vice-captain Paul Stirling joined the Irish Test squad in Galle last night, Ireland Cricket Board said on Friday (21).
After joining the Squad he trained with the fellow players at the Galle International Stadium today.
32-year-old Stirling was rested after the conclusion of the recent Bangladesh series, but he is now ready to play his 4th Test match.
The second and final Test between Sri Lanka and Ireland is scheduled to start on April 24 in Galle. Sri Lanka is currently leading the series 1-0.
