New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will miss the third T20I against India in Napier on Tuesday (22) to attend a pre-arranged medical appointment, New Zealand Cricket said on Monday (21).
In Williamson’s absence, Tim Southee will captain the side for the third and final match.
Mark Chapman had been called into the squad as cover. He will join the T20I squad in Napier today.
“Williamson will rejoin the BLACKCAPS on Wednesday when the ODI squad assembles in Auckland ahead of the series opener at Eden Park on Friday.” New Zealand Cricket said.
