Ireland all-rounder Kevin O’Brien has announced his retirement from international cricket.
Making his debut for Ireland in 2006, He has featured in all three Tests Ireland have played so far and became Ireland’s first ever centurion in the longest format of the game.
O’Brien have played 153 ODIs and 110 T20Is for Ireland and He bows out with a number of batting records, and as Ireland’s leading wicket taker in the ODI format, claiming 114 scalps.
Kevin O’Brien still holds the record for the fastest ICC Cricket World Cup century.
He belted 13 fours and six sixes during his breath-taking knock of 113 against England in 2011 in Bangalore, bringing up three figures in just 50 balls.
